First electric car at the University of Wuppertal
The Chair of Electrical Machines and Drives is also working in the field of electromobility. As a platform for developments, we have converted a light vehicle with conventional drive (4 kW, 45 km/h) to an electric drive concept.

Control and traction battery
Some technical data: Weight: 350kg, Length: 2,7m, Width: 1,5m, Seats: 2 Motor: Permanent excited synchronous machine with 13,8Nm, 30A, Lithium iron phosphate cell battery: 4,5kWh, Communication: CAN bus, At 45km/h we expect a demand of 3kW and a range of 65 km.
