13th EM Summer School 2021 (06 to 10 September)
The EM Summer School goes into the 13th round in 2021.
We are pleased to organize the 13th EM Summer School on "Electromagnetic Calculations" in cooperation with CADFEM and Flensburg University of Applied Sciences.
The aim of this annual event for PhD students is to provide basic and advanced knowledge in the field of electromagnetic simulation. The participants are given the opportunity to present their solutions to problems and to put unsolved problems up for discussion.
The main topics this year are:
- Fundamentals of the calculation of electromagnetic fields with their potential formulations,
- Application of the programs Ansys Electronics Desktop and Ansys Workbench for solving field problems,
- Generation of reduced order models from field simulation for use in system simulation,
- Realization of field and system coupling for the description of mechatronic systems.
- Application of transient NVH calculation of machines under PWM control.
Depending on your interests, optional topics can be taken up such as:
- Design of electrical machines with motor CAD,
- Electrical - thermal coupled calculations of power semiconductors on printed circuit boards,
- Methods for the calculation of winding head impedances of hairpin windings.
A fee of 130.-€ will be charged for participation in the summer school.
The participation in the event is decided by the chronological order of the online registrations.
Your contact person at the chair, Mr. Sebastian Gruber, will be happy to answer any questions you may have:
