16th EM Summer School 2024

09. to 13.09. in Flensburg

The EM Summer School is entering its 16th round in 2024.

We, the Flensburg University of Applied Sciences and the University of Wuppertal, are pleased to organize the EM Summer School on "Electromagnetic Calculations" again this year in cooperation with the company CADFEM.

As every year, we want to put together an interesting and instructive program in close correspondence with CADFEM.

For further information please see our flyer.

The main topics are

  • Basics of the calculation of electromagnetic fields with their potential formulations
  • Application of the programs Ansys Electronics Desktop and Ansys Workbench to solve field problems
  • Generation of conservative and causal reduced order models from field simulation for use in system simulation: motors and actuators, elastic bodies for NVH calculation, thermal reduced models, reduced electromagnetic models with eddy current effects
  • Realization of field and system coupling for the description of mechatronic systems
  • Application of reduced order models for NVH calculation and for the calculation of electromagnetic-thermal models in power electronics

As we are always open to suggestions and questions from participants, we ask you to describe the topic and status of your dissertation, your experience in the field of electromagnetic simulations, your interest in optional topics and your expectations of the EM Summer School when you register.

Your contact person at the chair, Mr. Sebastian Gruber, will be happy to answer any questions you may have:
